Join me on the second Saturday of the month to learn some fun, basic sewing skills. With these under your belt, you’ll never need to pay for someone else to fix your clothes!
Everyone needs Sewing Survival Skills! I want you to be able to pick up these great skills even if you don’t own a sewing machine. Sewing Survival Skills is all hand sewing.
Here’s What We’ll Cover:
We start with the basics: the simple way to thread a needle and how to sew on different types of buttons. Then we will use some simple hand-sewing stitches for both embroidery (hello monograms and name tapes) and mending. Next up is hemming jeans the easy way.
We’ll try both visible and invisible mending – you decide which you like best.
You can bring something of your own to repair with your new skills.
Like all the Stitch Lounge classes – we learn through projects – so you’ll go home at the end of the day with a Pincushion, and a Needle Book.
Here’s what else you need to know:
The workshop runs on the third Saturday of the month, from 10.00 – 14.00 (sometimes we run over – so I always suggest you allow up to an extra hour.)
Tea, Coffee, water and biscuits are provided.
There’s a maximum of 4 students per class. Bring a friend!
Price £60 all inclusive.
